Route 6 km
The heart of Breda and its green canals
The 6 km takes you through the atmospheric heart of Breda. You will walk through the green Valkenberg Park and discover the historic city center with its characteristic streets and monumental appearance. You then follow a section of the Breda canals, where stately buildings, green banks, and the water provide a beautiful backdrop. Along the way, you will pass the Seelig Park and various recognizable spots around the center. A compact route that introduces you to the charm of Breda in a short time.
The 6 km is wheelchair accessible.
Route 12 km
From the Bredase canals to the green Markdal
During this 12 km walk, you will slowly leave the liveliness of the city center behind and discover just how green Breda actually is. From the center, you walk along the Bredase canals, after which the route takes you towards the south of the city. Via the atmospheric surroundings of Ginneken, you reach the Markdal, where you walk along the small river Mark and look out over meadows and green banks. You also come close to the Mastbos, one of Breda's most famous nature reserves. Afterwards, you walk back towards the city via a varied route.

Route 18 km
From historic Breda to deep into the Mastbos
The 18 km allows you to extensively get to know both the city and the green outskirts of Breda. From the center you walk along the canals of Breda and head towards Ginneken and the Markdal. Here, the city makes way for an open landscape, water and plenty of greenery. You then continue towards the Mastbos, an ancient forest with wide avenues, winding forest paths and majestic trees. After a long loop through this green environment, you walk back towards Breda via the Markdal. A versatile tour for those who want to experience both the historic and natural side of the city.
Safe walking
During our walking events, we as an organization want to create the safest possible road situation for walkers and other road users. Therefore, it is important that we all show the same walking behavior. We ask you to walk on the right as much and wherever possible during our walking events. This allows us to prevent confusion on routes that are not completely closed to walkers.
